We will be running competitions periodically. Watch out for bulletins on MySpace and visit our website for updates.

Beltane Competition Once again we received a very enthusiastic and immediate response to the announcement of our May competition.

The standard of entries was very high and we would like to thank all of you who took the time to submit.

A shortlist was reasonably easy to achieve but we had to enlist the services of an independent adjudicator to assist in the final decision.

So, once again in reverse order, the winners are:

3rd - Seb Naylor with his fantastic tale of a phantasm, Bhargest. Loved the Black Hound!

2nd - Joe Jenkins with his homecoming story, The Return, containing a true sense of Beltane

1st - Eric Enck. His gruesome account of a traditional Maypole dance, Orgy, with a not so traditional outcome.

Prizes are on their way.

Thanks again to all who contributed to this competition, we hope that you watch this space for our next announcement. We are awaiting permission from all prize winning authors to place their entries on the site so keep coming back.

Valentine's Day Competition

I realise that notice for submissions was short but the response was great. We were swamped with entries and all were of a very high standard. We narrowed down the field to eight and found it so difficult to select a 1st, 2nd and 3rd. But we did and here are the results in a time honoured tradition of reverse order.

3rd - Andrew Wolter with his passionate, macabre entry ‘The Heart of All Hearts’.

2nd - Allan Leverone with his ‘heartfelt’ obsessional missive ‘Devotion'.

1st - Dave Rex with an excellent appetising entrée ‘A Taste of Italia’.

We are so sorry that there had to be a winner but after all this is a competition. Special thanks to all of our contributors especially our short listed eight; Sarah Basore, Seb Naylor, Jeff T. Kane, Chas Alvater and Justin Holley. We honestly found it so hard to choose between all of you.

Prizes will be in the post forthwith, winners will be stalked and monitored for their tee-shirt sizes (joking) and Dave Rex will also get a special signed copy of Charlotte Emma Gledson’s ‘The Lonely Tree and other Twisted Tales of Torment’.
